FASHION REPORT FW'15; NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

12 February 2015 has finally arrived. I'm sure for those who are involved in Fashion Week feel excited but nervous in the same time. I, myself in Malaysia feel the same like you too. Again...This year, I feel very grateful and thankful that my local loyal readers able to observe a pinch of New York Fashion Week via live stream from my blog. I always love New Yorker style everything so inspirational even on the street to its skyscrapers. After 6 months of blogging, I guess; I'm on the right path and connecting to the right circle from all around the world. Recently, I've received an unpleasant message from anonymous regarding the way I write my articles. I've my own personal reasons and I'll never explain to an anonymous with negative comments. It never stop me from what I passion in. Okay. Let's put aside the bad negative vibes and continue our discussion about Fashion. I'm sure everyone feel excited the opening day of Fashion Month. I, Myself keep on guessing what will be in, stay or out this season. My prediction for this season Fall/Winter key trends; more textures, something unique & fresh and versatile. Not that so precise or complicated because I prefer something easy but outstanding for windy and snowy season.

I start my NYFW observation with BCBG MAXAZRIA show. Honestly, BCBG MAXAZRIA show were superb and breathtaking. Once more Lubvio succeeded showing her capability to turn something cultural and bohemian onto another level of style. Based on what I've observed from the show, Lubvio presenting her BCBG collection more to intricate and exquisite embellished details with layered silhouettes this season. From BCBG's beautiful oversized turtleneck shirt & dresses, silk BCBG tunics and poncho shapes, cropped trousers, flowing dresses, oversized coats with intricate details to BCBG sassy fur-trimmed jackets partner it with leather over the knee boot and sleek clutch; hit on the runway. Overall, I love the hard and soft elements in each of Lubvio's designs; its well-balance the whole look. Simply très chic.

I remembered the first time I saw Zimmermann collection back few years ago there few similarity like Chloe. Something sweet but unique. This season Zimmermann duo presented their FW'15 collection more contemporary with 60's and 70's twist. I feel enjoyed watching their show and I love each of their designs. From Zimmermann's amazing flowing bohemian maxi dresses & mini dresses, turtleneck blouses & sweaters, tunic, high waist skirts, sweet baby doll dress, long length overcoat, cropped ankle pants, flowing blouses with deep v-neckline, wide leg cropped pants, sexy high waist trousers, tailored blazer & warm pea coat to Zimmermann's beautiful jumpsuit in amazing materials like flowing chiffon, silk, macramé, crepe, lace, cashmere to wool. The whole look will not complete with their cool new twist of Mary Jane's, wide hat, bag collections and stylish accessories. Overall, I love the whole concept that Zimmermann bring onto their collection this season. Playing bold-bright colours and emphasis waistline in each their designs. It was refreshing to see something retro in a modern twist.

One of New York favourite designer, Jason Wu presented his FW'15 collection on the 2nd Day of New York Fashion Week. I always adore Jason's artwork. This season Jason come out with something sleek yet fierce in beautiful materials like luxurious fur, silk and cashmere. Most of his designs were well-tailored with a twist of modern-classic. One thing that I like about Jason design is the silhouette and his leather bag creation. For this season collection, you will see clean line in Wu's silhouette designs. Simply glamour. From Wu's sassy high waist cropped trousers, beautiful with sleeve & sleeveless tunic dresses, bedazzled beaded tunic dress, cropped boxy jacket, mid-calf tee dresses, cashmere coat, long length overcoats, long sleeveless lace dress, dresses with slit, ankle length trousers to Wu's beautiful luxurious sleeveless fur vest with beautiful sleek pointed pumps, boots and juicy leather bags completed the whole look. I love each of Wu's designs. It's fresh, simple yet pure glamour.

She's a famous socialite back in the 70's, huge trendsetter with her innovation "The Wrap Dress" and her name has been listed one of top influential people in the industry. Diane von Furstenberg never failed to amaze me with her collection every season. I always adore her style and admire her philosophy. This season DVF presented her FW'15 collection on the 4th Day of New York Fashion Week. DVF continued with her amazing signature wrap dresses, bold textures and sexy bright colours. I love all the feminine silhouettes in each DVF's designs; a pinch of classic and modern with various type of beautiful high quality fabrics. From DVF's beautiful wrap dresses, tailored suits to vest and pants, gorgeous jumpsuit, lovely parka jacket, sexy A-line mini, shirtdress, sexy black dot pantyhose, halter dresses to DVF's bright classic trench coat and completed the whole look with beautiful Mary Jane's. One thing that I noticed that this season DVF accessories and bags collection were limited. Overall, I loved what DVF presented for this season.

Day 6 was Peter Copping's first debut for Oscar de la Renta. As a fan of the late designer, I'm glad that there's someone able to continue his legacy. Copping presented his collection for Oscar de la Renta and continued Oscar's signature elements into the collection. Based what I've observed, the collection is well-balanced; classic touch with a twist of modern that you can see from the silhouettes and designs in exclusive fabrics like tweed, chiffon, silk, jacquard, velvet, lace to wool. From Oscar's lovely cropped jackets, fur skirt, A-line skirt, full skirt, pencil skirt, ruffle blouse, embellished blouse, dress coat, skirt and suits, slip on dress, belted dress, fur coat, shirtdress, halter dress, evening dresses to beautiful ball gowns completed the whole look with sexy pumps. Simply chic! Totally today's classic.

One of American's top favourite brand Michael Kors, has presented his FW collection on day 7 with understated glamour and full of opulence for this season inspiration. You also will realize that Kors play hard and soft elements in each of his designs. Based what I've observed, the silhouettes; its fresh, feminine & masculine with a pinch of modern-classic with high quality fabrics that Mr Kors choose like tweed, velvet, mohair, cashmere, mink & fur, silk & crepe, jacquard, wool and lace. From Kors's beautiful trench coats, double breasted coat, tailored jackets, trench cape, cardigans, pleated skirt, turtleneck & pullover sweaters, sweater dress, tailored shirt, midi skirt, flare midi dress, stylish pyjama, classy tuxedo dress, modern evening dresses to Kors's luxurious fur coats and completed the whole look with Kors's Brogue slip & Peep-toe Mary Jane's, beautiful tote, shoulder & satchel bags, sunglasses and Fur scarves. Amazing collection! A complete set for a modern lady; from day to night. I'm sure every Kors fans will love this season collection.

I ended my fashion week observation with true essence of NYC; Marc Jacobs. I'm big fan of Marc Jacobs from his diamond days with Louis Vuitton until today. It's one of my biggest dream to attend MJ's Fashion Show. I always love MJ's unique artwork and it's not easy to predict what he will present every season for his show. This season Marc Jacobs presented his FW collection with a beautiful combination as his main inspiration. Great inspiration of Victorian, 40's era sexiness with a little bit of gothic-punk turn its to something strong and unique. I loved the materials that Marc choose like sheer chiffon, silk, lace, metallic brocade to mink; simply exquisite. From Marc Jacob's beautiful coats with fur lapels, fitted dresses, A-line pleated skirts and dresses, tailored belted jackets and suits, luxurious fur jackets to Marc's amazing sheer lace dresses with appliqué details and completed the whole collection with gloves and patent leather boots and shoes. I love it!
